Utter are currently working on a portal site backed by University College London and a consortium of other UK universities. The project aims to map the emergence of sustainability in theory and practice through collaboration via the site. The site is to be built using the Drupal content management sytem and will contain many social networking features.
Would-be collaborators on the site will applly for membership via an online application form and when access is granted they will be able to login to the site and collaborate with other practitioners in a variiety of fields and disciplines. Content creation will center around Case Studies into which collaborators will be able to write wikis, upload files, audio and video and chat and send messages to other online users. The initial expectation is that the site will be launched in June 2008.
